Jean Rossner, LMHC

Trauma-informed counseling for individuals and relationships

Services and philosophy

I offer therapy from an integrative perspective, using theories and techniques from psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapies, with Internal Family Systems providing the framework.  My trauma-focused training includes Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems and Expressive Arts modalities, and I have experience in supporting addiction recovery through both AA/12-Step and SMART Recovery models.

Clients describe me as caring, empathetic, smart, intuitive, direct, and honest as well as having extensive training and technical knowledge.  Psychotherapy as I understand it is a collaborative process:  You and I together will identify your goals and work to disentangle you from past experiences and present thoughts, freeing you to move forward with life.

My services are LGBTQA-friendly, poly-friendly,  and kink-aware, and I am familiar with a variety of religious and spiritual traditions as well as non-religious/humanistic views.

As of March 15, 2019, time is somewhat limited, but daytime on Wednesday is available, and Friday 2-7 pm is often but not always open.  Please call or email to discuss your needs and availability.
