Jean Rossner, LMHC

Trauma-informed counseling for individuals and relationships

Services and philosophy

I offer therapy from an integrative perspective, using theories and techniques from psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapies, with Internal Family Systems providing the framework.  My trauma-focused training includes Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems and Expressive Arts modalities, and I have experience in supporting addiction recovery through both AA/12-Step and SMART Recovery models.

My clients describe me as caring, empathetic, smart, intuitive, direct, and honest as well as having extensive training and technical knowledge.  Psychotherapy as I understand it is a collaborative process:  You and I together will identify your goals and work to disentangle you from past experiences and present thoughts, freeing you to move forward with life.

I am familiar with a variety of religious/spiritual traditions as well as non-religious or humanistic world views, and my services are LGBTQA-friendly, poly-friendly,  and  kink-aware.  As of May 1, 2018, my schedule is filled; in the future, I anticipate having some evening times available in Quincy.  The Fields Corner office is permanently closed.

I take Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  No other insurance is accepted; however, sliding-scale fees may be available to self-paying clients with limited income.

I look forward to meeting you!  Please use the form below to contact me and schedule an appointment.
